What If Jason Bourne Remembered Everything?

In The Bourne Identity, Jason Bourne wakes up with no memory of who he is, except that he’s an incredibly skilled fighter and assassin. As he pieces together his past, he’s hunted by dangerous people and forced to trust no one. What if he remembered everything right away?

One fan theory is that if Bourne had his full memories from the start, he might have taken down his enemies much quicker but could have been overwhelmed by the weight of his past. The mystery of his lost identity is what makes him so relatable and sympathetic.

A key moment in the film is when Bourne discovers a file with his name on it, sparking the search for answers. This moment changes everything, sending him on the run.

But imagine if Bourne didn’t have amnesia. What if he had known exactly who he was and what he had done? Would he have still escaped the CIA, or would he have been consumed by his guilt and revenge?
